GDPR

1. Overview

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is the most significant legislative change in European data protection laws since the EU Data Protection Directive ( Directive 95/46/EC), introduced in 1995. The GDPR became enforceable on May 25, 2018, strengthens the security and protection of personal data in the EU and serves as a single piece of legislation for all of the EU. It replaced the EU Data Protection Directive and all the local laws relating to it. The Odoo Store supports the GDPR and all The Odoo Store services comply with its provisions. Not only is the GDPR an important step in protecting the fundamental right of privacy for European citizens, it has raised the bar for data protection, security and compliance in the industry.

We really value GDPR and privacy as it is a very important aspect. You can always check back this page as this always contains the latest version of our privacy policy.

2. What is The Odoo Store's role under GDPR?

We act as both a data processor and a data controller under the GDPR. The Odoo Store as a data processor: When customers use our products and services to process EU personal data, we act as a data processor. For example, we will be a processor of EU personal data and information that gets stored when you create and configure your account. This means we will, in addition to complying with our customers' instructions, need to comply with the new legal obligations that apply directly to processors under the GDPR.

The Odoo Store as a data controller: We act as a data controller for the EU customer information we collect to provide our products and services and to provide timely customer support. This customer information includes things such as customer name and contact information.

3. How can I delete my personal data?

You have the ability to remove or delete information that you've added on our platform. You can deactivate your account and request that all personal data we have collected and stored is deleted. Login to your account to manually remove it or e-mail us at [email protected] with any questions or notes.

4. Our policy

4.1 Data we process

We store data that customers have given us voluntarily. This is an overview of the data we store or process from you:

First name and last name
Address details

We use this data to process you purchases/sales, to e-mail you or to be able to contact you. The data is stored for as long as we legally need to and no longer.

4.2 Data we share with third parties

We really try to keep as much data private as we can. Your data is never being sold to third parties or monetized. There are a few exceptions where we need to share data because it is legally required or needed to run the platform though. Here's an overview with who we share data and why we do so:
